About us
The origins of BGM go back to 1990 when K Wilson decided to spend his life helping the poorest people in his home area of Neyyardam, Kerala, south India. BGM became a Registered Charitable Trust in 1996. Wilson works from his home where he has a small office. As well as fundraising he spends much of his time travelling by bus and on foot to the local villages, talking with local people and discussing their problems and possible solutions. He also regularly visits the after-school tuition classes and computer classes that BGM provides. Wilson meets once a month with the various teachers, doctors, etc. that BGM employs to discuss how the different projects are progressing.
BGM is a Registered Charitable Trust in India (No. 67/1996). It is also registered under the Foreign Contributions Registration Act (FCRA) to receive overseas donations.
